Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from true magic.  Technology is changing the way we interact with the world and each other and how we consumer products we use every day.  Marketers who fail to recognize this fundamental shift and adapt will loose their ability to influence markets and generate revenue.

When the printing press revolutionized society to make it easier to spread ideas – marketing took a giant leap forward.  When man harnessed amplitude modulation and frequency modulation to send messages out on waves of energy, radio advertising changed it again.  TV, Internet, Skywriting, and Text Messaging are all technological innovations that have had significant impact on the world of marketing.  In a time when the pace of innovation is continually gaining speed, it is a foolish marketer that fails to follow technology, and it’s impact on persuasion.
